The iris, like a fingerprint, is a portrait of uniqueness.
The iris is like a fingerprint
The singular and exclusive mark of each individual’s identity.
In the same way, a wine is a testimony to what can never be repeated: the expression of its terroir, the passage of time, and the character of its grape varieties.
The Wine
A very special red wine from the exceptional 2019 vintage in the Douro Valley, crafted from the region’s classic varieties — Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz — by winemakers Celso Pereira and Jorge Alves. Patiently matured in carefully selected French oak barrels, it has gained depth and refinement, allowing its character to unfold with elegance and precision.
Layers of black fruit, ink, and spices intertwine with the subtle minerality of wet schist. On the palate, a velvety texture contrasts with the firm structure of the tannins, culminating in a finish that is both enduring and striking.

Alexandre Farto aka Vhils
In this special edition of 250 five-liter bottles conceived with Quanta Terra, Vhils continues to explore the theme of identity, so central to his body of work, through hand-applied stencils on glass. The intense lines of the human gaze emerge with his signature style, turning each bottle into a singular artwork. Each piece is individually signed and numbered by Vhils, affirming its uniqueness and authenticity.

Íris Quanta Terra is a visual, artistic, emotional, and tasting experience.
Delightful blend that captures the essence of the sun-drenched vineyards from which it hails. With its rich ruby color and enticing aroma, this wine offers a symphony of flavors, including ripe cherries, dark plums, and a hint of spice. Each sip reveals a velvety texture that dances on the palate, making it the perfect companion for hearty meals or a cozy evening by the fire.

The 2019 Íris red opens with an expressive bouquet of black fruits, hints of ink and dark spice, all lifted by the subtle minerality of wet schist that reflects its Douro origins. On the palate, the wine is both powerful and elegant: a velvety texture layered over a firm backbone of structured tannins, delivering balance, depth, and precision. The finish is long, striking, and memorable, promising longevity and continued evolution over time.
This wine’s depth and elegance make it the perfect companion for rich meat dishes such as roasted lamb, aged beef, or game. It also pairs beautifully with mature cheeses and can be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative experience, allowing its complexity to unfold slowly in the glass.
